Festival of Illustration part 1

Went to the Festival of Ideas event "An Evening With Quentin Blake"! Amazing to listen to a living legend discussing his latest work! Look out for his next book "Rosie's Horse"! Looked absolutely amazing!

The Handsomest Drowned Man In The World

Decided to put this up so my mom can finally see it and because I quite like how they came out! They are the first 3 of a series of 12 linos I made, inspired by "The Handsomest Drowned Man In The World", a short story by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Story told from the viewpoint of the drowned man. To see the rest, go to my flickr page.

Perfume II

Cover design I did for the Perfume project that has nothing to do with my final images. Once I catch up with my work I'll make a cover that actually connects with the images, but for now you can have this try.

Returning from a 3 month summer vacation, these are my finished-at-the-last-minute images for the summer brief, inspired by Patrick Suskind's book "Perfume: the story of a murderer". Quite surprised myself with images 1 and 3 - the rest need improving. Later on I'll post the cover separately, otherwise this post will be really busy!

Let's try this blog thing!

I mean, why not? So hello, I'm Ines, and this is my blog!
